This article is about an endangered crocodile-like reptile
called gharials that has been dying mysteriously since
December. Many situations have been examined to why there
have been as many as 50 deaths in the last few months but
an answer has not come about.
These gharials measure to be as big as 10 feet long and
have long slender snouts. There are known to be only
around 1500 left alive. In early December officials found
more than 21 of them washed up along the shore of India
and many more to come in the months following.
The latest evidence in to what has been killing the
gharials is parasites found dead in the livers and kidneys
of these animals. They also think that pollution may be
causing this problem.
I feel that pollution could be huge problem in the deaths
of these gharials and it can be stopped. If we stopped
polluting and treated our environment with respect we can
avoid these problems and save animals habitats.

Pollution has had a negative effect on animals and on humans as well and yes you are right it needs to be stopped. However it will be a process that can gradually be ameliorated if we become a greener environment for the benefits of nature, animals and humanity as a whole. Society does not fully grasp the dangers that pollution is causing our environment and how it trully does have a detrimental influence to our healths.
