

What role does science play in the political campaign for the office of US President?
Energy and economy have been in the foreground, but science has the ability to create new economies and new sources of energy.
A grassroots movement which began in 2007 as a group of 6 scientists quickly became a lobby of 38,000 scientists, engineers, and other concerned citizens. Included in the group are Bill Nye the Science Guy, the leader of nearly every major American science organization, dozens of Nobel laureates, elected officials, business leaders, and the presidents of over 100 major American universities.
